This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and disclosed when you visit AustinRenovationLoan.com (the “Site”), request information, or otherwise communicate with us through the Site.
For purposes of this Policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Matthew Brown, Sr. Loan Originator / Mortgage Broker (NMLS #1254520), offering mortgage origination services through Globe Mortgage, Inc. (NMLS #1390856), as applicable.
1. Scope of This Policy
This Policy applies to information collected through this Site and related communications arising from a Site inquiry. If you proceed to a full mortgage application or become a customer, additional financial privacy notices, authorizations, and disclosures provided by the applicable mortgage company, lender, application platform, credit provider, or settlement service provider may also apply.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide
When you submit the Site’s request form or contact us, we may collect:
- Your name, telephone number, and email address;
- Your selected project type and details you choose to provide about a property, renovation, or financing goal;
- The content of emails, calls, and other communications with us; and
- Other information you voluntarily provide in connection with your inquiry.
Information collected automatically
When you use the Site, our hosting provider and related technologies may automatically process technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages visited, date and time of access, and general interaction data.
If you accept optional tracking, Microsoft Advertising Universal Event Tracking (“UET”) may collect or receive information about page visits and form-conversion activity for advertising measurement, analytics, and audience purposes. We store your privacy choice in your browser’s local storage so the Site can remember it.
3. How We Use Information
We may use information to:
- Respond to your inquiry and communicate about mortgage or renovation-financing options;
- Determine which products, programs, or next steps may be relevant to your stated goals;
- Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Site;
- Measure advertising and Site performance when you have accepted optional tracking;
- Maintain business records and protect against fraud, misuse, or security incidents; and
- Comply with legal, regulatory, licensing, audit, and recordkeeping obligations.
4. How We Disclose Information
We may disclose information as reasonably necessary to:
- Mortgage and business parties: Globe Mortgage, Inc. and, if you choose to proceed, applicable lenders, mortgage technology providers, processors, settlement service providers, and other parties involved in evaluating or processing your requested transaction;
- Service providers: providers supporting website hosting, form delivery (including Formspree), email, security, data storage, technical support, and professional services;
- Advertising and analytics providers: Microsoft Advertising when you accept optional tracking;
- Legal and safety purposes: government agencies, regulators, courts, law enforcement, or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, security, and property; and
- Business changes: a successor or relevant party in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, subject to applicable law.
We do not sell your personal information for money. Optional Microsoft Advertising activity may be treated as “targeted advertising,” “sharing,” or a “sale” under certain state privacy laws even when no money is exchanged. You can decline or withdraw from that activity through Cookie Preferences.
5. Cookies, Local Storage, and Advertising Choices
The Site uses browser storage that is necessary to remember whether you accepted or declined optional tracking. Microsoft UET is not loaded unless you select “Accept.” If your browser sends a recognized Global Privacy Control signal, the Site treats optional tracking as declined.
You may change your selection at any time by choosing Cookie Preferences. Clearing your browser storage may also clear your saved choice. Your browser may offer additional controls for cookies and similar technologies.
6. Third-Party Services and Links
The Site uses Formspree to transmit general inquiry forms and may link to third-party sites, including a secure mortgage application platform, NMLS Consumer Access, TexasRenovationLoans.com, MyExpressHELOC.com, and other resources. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Information you submit directly to a third party is governed by that party’s notices, not this Policy.
7. Retention and Security
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to inquiries, maintain business and compliance records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and satisfy applicable legal or regulatory obligations. Retention periods vary based on the type of information and the reason it was collected.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No website, email, storage system, or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have rights to:
- Confirm whether we process your personal information and access it;
- Correct inaccuracies or request deletion;
- Obtain a portable copy of certain information;
- Opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal information, or certain profiling; and
- Appeal a decision regarding a privacy request.
To exercise a privacy right, email matt@matt.mortgage with the subject line “Privacy Request” or call (512) 952-1125. Describe the request and the state in which you reside. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision with “Privacy Appeal” in the subject line. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law, subject to verification of authority.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right. You may also use the Cookie Preferences link above to opt out of optional advertising technology without submitting an email request.
9. Children’s Privacy
The Site is intended for adults seeking information about real-estate financing and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Site. If you believe a child provided information, please contact us so we can address it.
